Description
I nursed my son until he turned a year old. He never once had formula. When my daughter was born 2 months ago, I learned that every child is different.
I thought that because I had nursed my son that it meant I knew what I was doing. But my daughter couldn’t latch on properly. It caused me a lot of pain but when I started pumping, I started to over produce.
Even after my daughter started latching on correctly, I still overproduced. My daughter eats 3 oz at a time. After feeding her, I pump and have 8-10 oz to store.
I already donate my breastmilk to Hillcrest hospital as well as to a mom who has trouble producing and can’t afford formula. Because I work for a school system, I’m currently on summer break and money is very tight. But I don’t believe that a mom should have to spend a lot of money to make sure their baby is happy and healthy.
I currently take postnatal vitamins and breastmilk supplement. I don’t drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, dip snuff, or do drugs. I also eat healthy and limit myself on caffeine and sweets so that my baby and other babies don’t have upset tummies.
If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them. Thank you for your time! 🙂
