Premature baby in need of breast milk

Finally a mommy!!

I gave up a baby when I was 15 and months later was attacked so viciously I was told I would never carry another baby. For over ten years I tried concieving again and during that time I suffered through 3 miscarriages. I began hormone treatments in 2014 until 2016 with no success. I was a waitress at the time with no insurance and was paying out of pocket for the treatments. Finally I gave up and chalked it up to God punishing me for giving up my first born. Early 2017 I unexpectedly found out I was pregnant and baby Micah entered my world 9 weeks early. Of course I wanted the best for me and my angel. Due to Micah having a high bilirubin number and having to be on a biliblanket 22 hours out of the day and also having tongue and lip tie, my plans for breast feeding were soon crushed. I knew pumping would be the next best. Micah is 3 weeks old and I have exclusively pumped up to last week when I ended up with a severe case of mastitis and suddenly lost the majority of my supply. I was originally pumping 6 to 8 ounces per session every two hours. Now I’m hardly getting 2 and the majority of the time I am just dry pumping with no expression at all. I haven’t list faith and continue to pump, see a few lactation consultants and take supplements to help my supply but currently not having any success in getting it up. I would love to continue for Micah to get the benefits of breast milk.. So, here we are! ❤
